Bio: Katherine Siy grew up experiencing the simple secluded life on the island of Batanes where technologies we take for granted -- electricity, cellphones,
computers -- are unavailable, but where interpersonal relationships thrive. Siy's work explores the complexities of the techno-centric lives we've built
around ourselves by placing characters denatured by color and pattern into undefined spaces that emphasize their emotional solitude.
Katherine Siy is a graduate of Art Center College of Design and is currently working in Pasadena, Ca as an illustrator and artist.
