Bio: Blaise first started taking pictures in elementary school in the 80s, encouraged by her painter/photographer father. She is mostly interested in images that reflect a sense of nostalgia, intimacy and solitude, and that explore the meaning and mysteries of memory. She looks for ghosts and familiar secrets in ordinary moments.
Her photos have been featured in online gallery shows at *La Pura Vida*, *Stereobird* and *Art for Empty Walls*, and published by *The Morning News*, *Nerve*, *Gawker*, and *Gothamist*. She does private commissions, as well as event and performance photography.
Blaise is also a writer -- her written work has appeared in *Vice* and *The Black Table*, among others, as well as in the books *Mortified* and *Cringe* -- and a graphic and web designer. And sometimes she does some other stuff too. She lives in Brooklyn, New York. Online portfolio can be viewed at thisisblaise.com
