Andy Dixon is a 27 year old from Vancouver, Canada. His creative output is polarized by two separate, yet correlated major interests: visual arts and music. This duality is apparent in everything Dixon does, including the record label he runs from his apartment, Ache Records; his experimental electronic project, Secret Mommy; his band, Winning; his interest in painting and drawing; or his day job as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. His love for both mediums has been with him since elementary school.
While other 11 year olds where playing soccer, Dixon and his closest friends where huddling around a tape player, listening to Suicidal Tendencies and drawing comics. His artwork is self-vandalizing, often containing countless layers of scribbled over drawings, or half- finished words and ideas, always exuding a vibrant sense of purpose and a profound commentary on personal and worldly ethics. Or, at least, that's what he hopes it exudes.
