Bio: Samer Fawaz was born and raised in Beirut Lebanon in 1981 and came to the U.S. in 1990. He got his undergraduate degree in Art Studio with a minor in Art History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Samer moved to Los Angeles after graduating in 2002 and his been living there ever since.
While it may not seem apparent from looking at them, Samer's recent drawing are inspired by his family history primarily touching on his disconnect from his childhood in Lebanon. Most of his drawing are done on cardboard or found paper using black ink and sometimes includes stamps from his rubber stamp collection inherited from his late uncle.
